John believes the market is starting to emerge from its recent correction of 12%, which he sees as a very reasonable response after years without a significant correction. He notes an improvement in market breadth in the past few weeks as well. While stating that the market could still roll over again, he sees the 200 day moving average for the S&P 500 (around 2060) as a key level. John also covers interest rates, oil and gold as well. If gold can climb through its 200 day moving average, John sees a move to $1225, and perhaps a change in trend for gold. His favorite sectors for the balance of the year are technology, consumer staples and consumer discretionary.
